Of Toys and Toilets

Daddy recently tried to motivate the girls to clean up their rooms by telling them that any toys that were not picked up would be donated to children in need. This worked great for Taedra. She had her room cleaned up in no time. Makeila on the other hand put several of her toys in the trash bag for donation. We took the toys up to the church and about a week later Makeila was excited to see that the toys had been taken from the donation box and had gone to children in need. This inspired her to donate even more toys the next time she cleaned her room! Daddy is not sure if he should thank God that his girls are generous or if he should re-think his parenting technique.

On another note...

Taedra is currently not a big fan of auto-flush toilets. In fact they scare the poor girl. She would love to see every one of them donated to countries in need along with drive-thru car washes, coffee grinders, and other noisy gadgets so that there are no more to bother her in the area.
